Hi All,

From the time I was eleven I've been into designing websites. Now I'm eighteen years old and looking into pursing web design as a career.I'm not stupid,I know that what I know about web design now isn't nearly enough to get a job with.I'm planning on either going to college or taking a course on web design, but before I can make this kind of choice I need to know:

Is it difficult to break into the web design industry, even with proof of college or college level education and a portfolio?

Not hard nor easy. It is one of the most competitive domain which has lots of dynamics, lots of variation in terms of cost, usability, technology used. This sector has lots of possibilities. If you have good knowledge of design, you are creative and know behavior of people with websites and latest technology you can lead. Also you must have a crystal idea about your targeted customers. Also work for your Unique selling points, portfolio and to optimize your website and work to set yourself as a brand.

I really agree with you. It really needs hardwork and effort to come up with what you think the best design of a program.

To become a Web Designer, you must have both the technical prowess needed to make functional websites as well as the artistic ability and design sensibility to create an experience that users will love. If you have both a creative and a technical side, the field of web design might be for you.
