im pretty new to actually doing an overclock for my own cpu but i have been reading for years so i get the idea and know the major things like max temp and stability.

there is a dropdown selection box in the "PLL Setup" section of Clockgen, and it correlates to the chip in question, i dont know where to find this information for a Pentium D 930 @ 3.00 Ghz. any help or point me in the right direction is appreciated.

my bois does not have any fucntoialtiy for overclocking, does that mean nothing can be done for this chip ?

would definately suggest the 805 if you're trying to save money, as it's by far the cheapest and even on stock air should be able to go to at least 3.0Ghz.
Up to that point shouldn't even require a voltage bump or anything, so the best thing to do is raise the FSB a few Mhz at a time, and then go stress test for temperature. I'm not sure about the THG review stating full load temps on the stock cooler being 78 degrees. That seems way too high even for stock; mine would seemingly lose stability at 65 and above when I ran it at 3.8Ghz.
