I have a Toshiba satellite L505. My laptop has a web cam attached to it. Before i installed the win 7 home premium that Toshiba sent me the web cam was running with a vista. After i installed win 7 my built-in web cam didn't work anymore and its not detecting the web cam in the hardware devices. What should i do to fix it?

Install Toshiba compatible drivers for your cam.
And everything will get back into their respective places.

have a nice day!

Well there are certain things that you can do:

1) Try and install the correct drivers that are compatible with Toshiba.
2) The options that are in windows 7 may not be the same as vista. So take your time and go through the options to see whether anything is changes or disabled.
3) Fix your web cam to another machine and check whether it is functioning properly.
4) Get a separate copy of windows 7 from a completely different place and install again.
5) You can actually try out installing windows seven all over again because it can be due to a problem in installation.
