Hello all,

I have managed to find a number of billing solutions for web hosts easily enough, but I am struggling to find one better suited for dealing with the slightly differing demands of the dedicated server market.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ASP, or Active Server Pages, is a web-based programming language which was developed by Microsoft. There are some software packages which claim to allow ASP to be used on Linux, but there's nothing that's very widely used or recommended. ASP runs the best (and arguably only) on Windows servers. Therefore, ASP developers and sites which wish to utilize ASP will use Windows Servers. If a site intends to utilize the ASP programming language, a Windows server would be the logical choice.

I can't compare the two because I have only used modernbill, but I wanted to add a few comments to what Robert said.

I would agree the order form in MB is a big long, drawn out, and may be confusing for people new to hosting. It does however keep things very VERY organized throughout the system, and there are a ton of features that if you need them, could make your life really easy. But if you are a smaller host just looking for something simple, it may be a bit too much.

Also, regarding the bluky feel of MB, you may want to download the new image set Robert (I think it is in the CVS download area), but Michael went through and optimized every single graphic in MB because when the template was made the graphics were saved at full quality with no web optimization. I guess after re-doing the graphics, each image was at least 30% smaller in size! So that would help page loading time tremendously.

And as far as the order form is concerned, that is being re-done as well as we speak and it should be very different from it is now, but that is something yet to be seen

The best part of MB in my opinion is the very active development of the product and the dedication Michael has to helping users out and taking suggestions to heart and adding features people want to see if they are worthwhile.

We are often asked how DTH VoIP Billing Software compares to a2billing. This question usually comes from customers who are using a2billing but are looking for a more comprehensive alternative, or customers who are starting a new business and are evaluating the different telecom billing systems available.

I think looking for the ASP based application would consume a lot on the head. Rather it would be better suited to have a complete software package that is compatible with all the utilities.

ASP, or Effective Hosting server Webpages, is a web-based development terminology which was designed by Ms. There are some software programs which declare to allow ASP to be used on A linux systemunix, but there's nothing that's very commonly used or suggested. ASP operates the best (and probably only) on Ms windows hosts. Therefore, ASP designers and websites which wish to implement ASP will use Ms windows Servers. If a site plans to implement the ASP development terminology, a Ms windows server would be the sensible choice. . . . . . .

SiteGround consistently scores top marks in hosting comparisons and reviews. It offers excellent web hosting plans at relatively low prices. However, keep in mind that dedicated servers are seldom what we’d call “affordable.”
