Well, the suggestion of using a external keyboard is a good one and also the on screen keyboard also to make sure that it is not software issue. If same issue persists than you may want to try to re-seat the keyboard cable. On the bottom of your laptop the keyboard screws should be marked. If still same issue than it is your keyboard, you can get one online for about $25 depending on the model. Good luck.

If some of the keys on your laptop are not working, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Restart your laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues with keyboard functionality. Restart your laptop and see if the problematic keys start working again after the reboot.

2. Check for physical damage: Inspect the keyboard for any visible signs of physical damage, such as spills, debris, or loose keys. If you notice any damage, gently clean the keyboard using compressed air or a soft brush. Be careful not to apply excessive force or liquid when cleaning.

3. Update keyboard drivers: Outdated or incompatible keyboard drivers can cause issues. Open the Device Manager on your laptop (press Windows key + X and select Device Manager), expand the "Keyboards" category, right-click on the keyboard device, and select "Update driver." Choose the option to search for updated drivers automatically. If any updates are found, install them and restart your laptop.

4. Uninstall and reinstall keyboard drivers: If updating the drivers doesn't resolve the issue, you can try uninstalling the keyboard drivers and then reinstalling them. In the Device Manager, right-click on the keyboard device and select "Uninstall device." After the drivers are uninstalled, restart your laptop, and Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers.

5. Check the language settings: Ensure that the keyboard language settings are correct. Sometimes, using an incorrect language setting can cause certain keys to behave differently or not function at all. Go to the Language settings in the Control Panel or Settings app and verify that the correct keyboard layout is selected.

6. Test with an external keyboard: Connect an external USB keyboard to your laptop and check if the problematic keys work on the external keyboard. If they do, it suggests a hardware issue with the laptop's built-in keyboard.

7. Contact technical support or a technician: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to reach out to the technical support of your laptop manufacturer or consult a professional technician. They can provide further assistance and diagnose any hardware-related problems with your laptop's keyboard.

Remember to exercise caution when attempting any physical cleaning or troubleshooting of your laptop's keyboard. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with the process, it's best to seek professional help to avoid causing further damage.
