Default How can we design our own template?

A web design template or a website design template is a template which is in most cases used to present some information in the Internet. A web design template is a catchall name for several types of templates like:

    * HTML templates - website design templates represented with HTML code only
    * PSD templates - templates which contain only .psd files, graphics only, with no code
    * Flash templates - website design templates developed with Flash
    * Flash intro templates - templates of an intro clip, developed with Flash only, used to represent a company or/and a project.

The list above contains the main categories of templates associated with website design templates. There are some others, which, due to their specific usage, are not so popular: FrontPage templates, Dreamweaver templates, etc.

A wbsite template is nothing but HTML layout stylised using CSS. So to create your own templates you need a good grasp on HTML and CSS.

    Default Web Template

A web template is just a bunch of HTML & CSS Code embedded into a web page which would make the layout & designing of a web page look good. So, basically if one wants to design a web page one can do it on their own if aware of HTML, CSS & other coding launguages or can buy them from some one / OR this templates are also available in the format you want from Internet.

In today’s tech-savvy world, almost anyone can become a website designer. Free resources online that allow even the most inexperienced web users to generate pages of their own. The easiest way to do this is by using ready-made website templates. Web publishing tutorials are also available from various books and websites. Furthermore, there are thousands of ready-made sites that can either be bought online or downloaded for free and then modified to suit the user’s needs. If your needs are simple, Frontpage templates would suffice. Frontpage is perhaps the simplest and most widely available platform for website design, since it comes with the Microsoft Office suite. Frontpage allows users to design and customize webpages without knowing how to write hypertext markup language (HTML). With Frontpage, users can see what their homepages would look online immediately due to its WYSIWYG interface. More advanced web designers however find Frontpage too simple for executing more complex designs.

You probably know that PowerPoint offers a rich assortment of predesigned templates guaranteed to enhance your presentation. But your options don't stop there. Your vision for your presentation may be so specific that no one else's design could possibly capture it, or you may just feel like experimenting to see what sort of look you can come up with. PowerPoint lets you indulge your imagination by building a design template from the ground up.

With just a few clicks you can alter the color scheme, font style, and other features of one of the existing design templates — or you can step off the beaten path entirely and create a slide design all your own, even using a favorite photo as a background. Watch the demo to see how it's done.

Whether you create your own templates or receive them from elsewhere, you need to store them where PowerPoint can find them.

If you use Windows Vista and PPT 2007, put them here:

    C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates
(substitute your user name for [Your User Name] above, of course)

On WinXP and PPT 2003, use:

    C:\Documents and Settings\]Your User Name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

And generally, if you open the template file in PowerPoint then choose File, Save As and choose Template from the "Save as Type:" list, PowerPoint will automatically choose the correct template folder for you.

This will make the templates appear in "My Templates" or "New From Existing" when you choose File | New in PPT 2007.
