    SSL is a technology designed to make access to sites more reliable and secure. The encryption certificate allows you to reliably protect the traffic transmitted between the user's browser and the web resource (the server) that the browser accesses, all this is done through the https protocol. Done, this is all after the rapid development of the Internet has led to a huge number of sites and resources that require the user to enter personal, personal data:
    * Passwords
    * Credit card numbers
    *Correspondence
    It is these data that are the prey for hackers, how many high-profile cases have already happened, with the theft of personal information and how much more, the ssl encryption certificate, is designed to minimize this.

    SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral.
    This is important because the information you send on the Internet is passed from computer to computer to get to the destination server. Any computer in between you and the server can see your credit card numbers, usernames and passwords, and other sensitive information if it is not encrypted with an SSL certificate.

    The browser/server requests that the Web server identify itself. The Web server sends the browser/server a copy of its SSL certificate. The browser/server checks to see whether or not it trusts the SSL certificate. ... The Web server sends back a digitally signed acknowledgement to start an SSL encrypted session.

    SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a standard security protocol for establishing encrypted links between a web server and a browser in an online communication.

    The usage of SSL technology ensures that all data transmitted between the web server and browser remains encrypted.

    An SSL certificate is necessary to create SSL connection. You would need to give all details about the identity of your website and your company as and when you choose to activate SSL on your web server. Following this, two cryptographic keys are created - a Private Key and a Public Key.

    Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is a network layer security protocol which is responsible for ensuring security of data or messages in transit through different application layers and practically ensures a reliable end-to-end secure and authenticated connection between the client and the server over the open Internet.
