    A keyword phrase is generally two or more words that are used by advertisers in search engine optimization, or by visitors who are using search engines in a desire to find information based on that particular phrase.

    Keyword consist of single word and the keyword phrase is the combination of two or more words.
    If you want to attract right visitor for your website, you can use keyword phrase instead of keyword.

If you are selling shoes online then “shoes”, brand name like “Reebok”, “Nike” are your main keywords.

    Your objective should be to rank on maximum key phrases for your website not just single keywords. As soon as you will start ranking on maximum phrases Google will automatically start showing your website for your targeted keywords.

    The difference between the two is that keywords are single words, while keyphrases are made up of a few words.
