Hello,
Greylisting is a strategy of shielding e-mail users towards spam. A mail transfer agent (MTA) working with greylisting will "temporarily decline" any specific email coming from a sender it doesn't recognize. In case the email is genuine, the originating server/host will attempt again after having a delay, and, in case adequate time has elapsed, the email is going to be accepted.

Email greylisting is a method of protecting email users from spam. A Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) that uses greylisting blocks a suspicious email with a “temporary rejected” error. In such a situation, a legitimate SMTP server makes multiple attempts to resend a delayed email until it is finally accepted. Servers for mass email spam, on the contrary, usually do not have such sophisticated features.

Grey Listing is a method of defending against spam messages. When the grey listing is enabled, Xeams will reject every incoming message the first time an email is encountered from a particular IP address. Most legitimate email servers will retry sending an undeliverable message whereas spammers who want to send millions of messages do not retry.
