What is considered as more significant, creating content or building backlinks?

This question arises in many people and He/She get confused between what is more important in SEO 1. Content or 2. Back links.

As per my opinion, i would prefer Content first then back links as second. If you might think back links are more important to rank your website So it could be first choice.

But if you look at all authority blogs around the globe you will be noticed that every blogs have quality back links from quality websites. Now if you want to get quality links then you have to give some best work of your blog to that authority websites.

When you will show your best content to authority websites they will likely to share your content and give back links from their blogs.
