What is your preffered programming language on the web?

Personally I use PHP a lot in combination with Javascript. I used to use ASP but Windows servers are more expensive.
What is your preferred programming language on the web?

Well, also I am using PHP because it is easy and a server-side scripting language for creating dynamic Web pages. PHP is free to download and use, which is one reason why I prefer it. The speed of development is aswell important. Because PHP allows you to abstracted HTML code from scripted elements.

We use .net--vb or c#. We may incorporate flash, java, jquery, or something else...but the guts is .net.

I personally prefer Java. It is my favorite programming language. I mainly like it for its simplicity. It is highly secured, strongly-typed, and easy to learn. Also it is more portable as it works on any operating system including cell phones.
