What is Schema?
Hi Friends,
Schema is structured data or a code which is used to put on the website so that a search engine knows what your website is all about. It is somehow like rich snippets.
In simple words, schema clarifies to the search engine what your page is about. Later, search engines can interpret this information available on your web page so they can display relevant results to users based on search queries. A search engine shows the results with social media icons, tweets, basic info and reviews in its searches.

Schema markup is code (semantic vocabulary) that you put on your website to help the search engines return more informative results for users. If you've ever used rich snippets, you'll understand exactly what schema markup is all about.

Schema in SEO
schema.org markup (or Structured data) is a special code that webmaster adds to the websites' pages. Googlebot uses structured data to understand better what's on your website and show your content correctly in SERP. In turn that helps to drive valuable traffic on your website.
For instance, webmaster of JetOctopus crawler marked up the landing page. This markup helps Googlebot understand that webpage features JetOctopus’ services, pricing, video tutorials, etc. Google displays this information in the snippet for search results for relevant users’ queries (so-called "rich results.")
Also, schema org markup is added to serve relevant results in other formats. For example, if you are owner of a restaurant, marking up the opening hours improves User Experience as people are informed if your restaurant is open/closed at the time of searching.
You are able to mark up business-relevant information, such as :
products/services your business provides;
geographical location;
videos about your products/services;
opening hours;
events listings;
your company logo, moto, etc.
When you mark up information, use the Google Structured Data Testing Toolto avoid mistakes during implementation. You can also enter the URL where the data is, or copy the actual HTML which includes the markup.
Schema in Database
