There are so many article directories on the web. But there are only few quality articles directories like Ezine and Buzzle. I think it’s better to create a blog for your site without going for an article directory.

Well, I can't give perfectly answer right now, because I have done some directory submission recently from directory critic but still not good result of it.
I think it may need some time to get effect on ranking.
