Does redirect slow the speed of my website?

Hi, I am wondering if the redirection plugins slowing my website. I am noticing it's loading a little slower now than before I am using the redirection plugin. Thanks for any help.

The issues surface when there are too many redirects in the page structure. Multiple redirects are a huge overhead to the website and can slow it down significantly.
