I m totally confuse to taking a platform for sharing a hosting services.There are many type of platform should share hosting services but which is best platform for shared hosting services? And what does effect on website due to platform quality for shared hosting services..Please share your ideas and full fill my confusion.

I believe, linux and windows are common platform of shared hosting. Later it comes to the control panel. Cpanel is the common and widely used panel in linux hosting while plesk is the common in windows hosting. Generally peoples choose platform according to their code, if you want to host php website you choose linux while if you want to host asp site you will choose windows.

i used windows 2003 server since 2009 and it's totally reliable but i'm thinking to update to 2008 server so go for window platform it's totally user friendly
