PS3 says DNS error (80710102) when i try to connect to the internet with a wired connection
Hi, it would be marvelous to sit back and play challenges online with my new PS3 console :D
Although ... with help from my ISP (AOL) with the connection details i need it still doesn't work! When going through the settings manually the console recognises my IP address but not the DNS. When contacting AOL with the info they gave me i'm only given one DNS code or (DNS Server) from my comp? Which could be why its not connecting?

I am recommending you to restart your modem, router and PS3 just to be on the safe side.
Your reboot process should be done in that particular order. Turn them all off first and start turning on your modem, router and PS3 in that order so that your IP address, DNS and others have time to sync up properly. If that did not work, follow the steps below:
1. Update your PS3 firmware.
2. If you are sure that all your systems and firmware are fully updated already, go to your PS3 settings. Under Network Settings, look for these two settings: UPnP and Media Connectivity. If they are turned on, you need to turn them off and your DNS error should be gone.

WPS is more all inclusive while AOSS isn't. Empowering WPS bolster on PS3 and ideally on the new PS4 would sidestep these issues. Today I will give you an answer of DNS Error 80710102 happens in PlayStation. The dns mistake 80710102 happens due to web association issue.

If there is a DNS error, then it means that resolution of IP addresses is not possible. In most cases, DNS errors have nothing to do with the DNS system. The source of the issue usually lies in connectivity problems, caused by wrong configuration, ISP downtime, or a faulty router/modem.
