Colocation services let clients take advantage of superior datacenter infrastructure, while maintaining control over their servers. The benefits to colocation customers include:
Environmental control, such as constant temperature and humidity maintenance, and particulates filtration
Fire suppression systems
Redundant power sources and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) backup

Taking the advantage of the opportunity can say that aspnix.com (http://aspnix.com/) is the best option to get colocation.
Their control panel is 100% custom and it is amazing. Very happy so far. I highly recommend them if you care about your online presence.

Colocation is a hosting option for small businesses who want the features of a large IT department without the costs. Many large corporations have the Internet infrastructure to host their own web servers and have a team of IT professionals to manage and design the site, individuals and small companies do not. There is a wide range of options available from simple hosting up to running your own Web servers off of a dedicated Internet connection. One such option is colocation. In the first part of this series, we will examine why one would chose colocation over the other hosting options.

Colocation hosting is a lower-cost server hosting strategy using a provider’s high-speed 24/7 internet services, excellent operational security, superior availability and long-term stability while using the customer’s current server inventory.
Typically, colocation hosting improves business operations, cuts capital costs and boosts the quality of service that customers experience.
Colocation takes the client’s existing server infrastructure and moves it from the customer’s on-premise deployment to the colocation provider’s datacenter.

Colocation is often referred to as server colocation, colocation hosting refers to a situation where you store your server hardware in a hosting provider's data center. This type of arrangement requires that you actually purchase your own hardware.

Managed hosting solutions include expert support assistance from your host, including hardware replacement, software installations, security upgrades, and more. Colocation services give you full control over the server, letting you utilize its resources as you wish.

Colocation hosting is a type of service a data center offers in which it leases space and provides housing for servers. The clients own the servers and claim full authority over the hardware and software. However, the storage facility is responsible for maintaining a secure server environment.
Colocation services are not the same as cloud services. For example, colocation clients own hardware and lease space. With cloud services, they do not have their hardware but lease it from the provider.
Colocation hosting should not be confused with managed (dedicated) services, as the second implies the data center also assumes management and maintenance control over the servers. With colocation hosting, the clients are the one who is responsible for supplying, maintaining, and managing their servers.

Colocation hosting is where you lease space for your hardware at a third-party provider's data center facility.
A reseller hosting plan gives you complete control over every aspect of your hosting business, from resource allocation to payment methods and what additional services you choose to provide your clients domains, SSL certificates, etc.

Colocation hosting is a type of hosting service where a business or individual rents space for their own server in a data center. The customer is responsible for providing and maintaining their own server, but the data center provides security, power, cooling, and network connectivity for the server. Colocation hosting is often used by businesses that need to have a high level of control over their server and its environment, or that have data storage and bandwidth requirements that exceed the capabilities of traditional web hosting.
