An ad group contains one or more ads which target a shared set of keywords. You set a bid, or price, to be used when an ad group's keywords trigger an ad to appear. This is called a cost-per-click (CPC) bid.

An ad group is usually composed several ads which target a shared set of keywords. In it you set a price which will be used for the ad group's keywords and ad will be triggered when the criteria will meet. This is also known as cost per click bid. You can even set price of each keyword separately in the group.
