How to Refresh Site Description in Google?

Hi Friends,
it very much depends on the individual site and how often it is updated normally.

For pages like on this forum. Google spiders and updates within 30 minutes or so it seems. If your site is updated less often then it will take longer for Google to revisit.

A week would be a reasonable average I guess. I assume you submitted a sitemap? Was it just the Title tag and Meta description that changed?

There is no definite answer on how long will google take to reflect your content.

But primarily it depends on few important factors like:

1) How often google crawls this page of your site which again depends on lot of factors, most important of which is content refresh rate.

2) Depends if you are linking this page to a already indexed page or submitting this via sitemap etc

But to ensure this gets crawled fast, you should submit your page via webmaster tool

You can change your meta description for changing site description in search engines.

When you change meta descriptioncontent, go to Google Webmaster Tools and under Crawl section click Fetch as Google, then Fetch and render and wait. Google will fetch your site and send it to index. it won't be visible immidieatly it takes about 1-2 days to refresh in SERP.
