-Smoke Testing - to Verify that the applicaion is testable
-Functional Testing - User Interface, Navigations, Links, forms and their flows(if any), required functionalities
-Security testing - User authorization etc, URL accessibility over internet and intranet, Visibility of information on front end etc.
-Regression Testing - To ensure the fixes have not impacted other areas
-Performance testing - to test the application for load, stress, etc.
-Automation Testing - It is generally time taking, but very useful if the application has multiple and frequent releases.
