Crawl depth is the extent to which a search engine indexes pages within a website. Most sites contain multiple pages, which in turn can contain subpages. The pages and subpages grow deeper in a manner similar to the way folders and subfolders (or directories and subdirectories) grow deeper in computer storage.

Hi Friends,
Crawl depth is a measure of how deep inside a website a search engine’s spider bots or crawlers will go for indexing purposes. This is especially relevant for longer search queries since they tend to be comparatively more targeted and hence it becomes important to index all of a website such that deeper pages can rank better for long tail keywords.
