I really don't understand the logic behind such questions , but let me take a general route rather than a specific one in this matter.

If you were to start programming then how good is say language X? Let me be clear on this one , there are lots of languages which gain early traction and then faulter significantly . People may think that Java , .Net are going to be dead , but this does not happen overnight as loads of companies work on these and they are resistant to new technologies , except for startups.

So ,if I were to summarize , pick a language of your choice( net) and start coding .Scope and Future are immense for .Net :)
