How many IT certifications are there? [Archive]

Hi Friends,
The answer for this question would be very comprehensive, but let me limit myself two separate set of certifications.

From IT developer perspective following certification would be worth considerable.
1. Sun Java Certification Programs for J2EE, J2ME etc.,
2. Microsoft certification for .NET framework

From IT service perspective I can suggest ITIL Certification, to become an architect of IT Service Management. ITIL has following certifications:
1. ITIL Foundation Certification
2. ITIL Intermediate Certification
3. ITIL Managing Across Life Cycle
4. ITIL Expert Certification
5. ITIL Master Certification
