View Full Version : Should I set up the mail server myself?

I want to set up Postfix + Dovecot on a VPS instead of using a ready-made corporate email service.

I’m planning on using modest resources: 2 CPUs / 4 GB RAM / 80 GB NVMe. I have a basic understanding of Linux, but I don’t have much experience with email infrastructure.

I’m looking at VPS plans on hostpro.com. Should I go through the trouble of manual configuration, or is it better to use a control panel that automatically sets up email?
