Which host would you choose if you need a server in Germany?
Would it be aspnix or ... ?

As an alternative I suggest Exmasters (http://www.exmasters.com/) solutions. You will get high available support, featured plans and stable network for reasonable prices.

If I were you, I'd choose ASPnix.com (http://ASPnix.com/) and their hosting solutions.
Their features have certainly gotten better and they now offer a lot more for the same price.
Servers are reliable. Overall they're just a great company.

I favor webtropia whilst they would be the lowest priced in addition to high class companies inside of Germany.

I believe you should compare offers and choose the suitable one. My preferable option to get powerful EU servers is Redswitches (http://redswitches.com/). They have rock-solid servers with high stable networking and professional team.

I'd say Exmasters (http://www.exmasters.com/) would be pretty good for server solutions. They offer very cheap shared hosting plans along with lots of useful features. So far, you will experience any downtime, and the servers will be fast.
