A search query or search term is the actual word or string of words that a search engine user types into the search box.In PPC, we target keywords by bidding on them and using them in our ads and landing pages.

PPC means it is an advertisement campaign which works on pay per click model, means the advertiser is charged when somebody clicks on the ad. Search query means when any specific keyword or phrase is searched in the Google Search Engine then that ad should be displayed.
