Yes you should allow commenting on your blog posts as it will help more user engagement for your blog pages and build its popularity in search engines.
Well the debate still goes on for this, a blog isn't a blog without comments. You need to be prepared to receive a lot of spam, low quality comments so a lot of time needs to be put in reviewing the comments.
