Default What hardware device is used with USB ports to capture keyboard strokes?

I heard about a device that captures keyboard strokes which is used with a USB port. The keyboard wire is attached to this device. It acts like a memory stick. It can be removed for downloading its information.

We know older monitoring software is not compatible with Windows Vista. This hardware will help us monitor our son's online activity regardless of what system he is using.
